CEC GARDEN OPEN HOUSE & NATIVE PLANT SALE
Saturday, September 6, 2008, 10 AM to 2 PM
You are invited to join us for our annual CEC Garden Open House and Native Plant Sale. Guided tours of the 20 Native Plant Demonstration Gardens and Sites will be held at 11 AM and Noon. We will have refreshments thanks to Whole Foods Market, garden information handouts, and a variety of native plants for sale (proceeds help support the maintenance of the gardens and sites). The CEC is located just minutes from downtown and the State Capital, at Adams Academy at Adams Park. Directions
CEC Garden Care Day
Tuesday, July 22nd, 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM
Join volunteers from the Boys and Girls Club of Annapolis, the Volunteer Center for Anne Arundel County, and Naval Academy Midshipmen. The project will include a tour of the CEC's Native Plant Demonstration Gardens and Sites, instruction, plant potting, transplanting, weeding, and mulching.
Arundel Habitat for Humanity 100th House Celebration
Saturday, August 9th, 4:30 PM to 7 PMArundel Habitat for Humanity will hold a community and family cook-out at Adams Academy at Adams Park / CEC to celebrate the completion of the 100th House.

This year, the US Botanic Garden's much anticipated summer exhibition is all about SUSTAINABILITY and how each of us our gardens, our landscapes, our communities can live for tomorrow, as well as for today. The Chesapeake Conservation Landscaping Council (CCLC), one of several major exhibitors, is demonstrating "Rainscaping...Beautiful Solutions to Water Pollution." The Chesapeake Ecology Center is a member of CCLC, and is participating in this event. The gardens are located on the east side of the Botanic Gardens at 100 Maryland Ave, SW, Washington, DC.
